History

Today, every class strives to provide their children with a quality education, spending a lot of money on education. They spend millions to educate their children in top institutions. But economically weaker families face many challenges in educating their children. Can’t their talented students achieve high positions? Who will help these poor, helpless, economically weaker, and talented students so they can achieve their potential in society? Today, we are introducing an institution of the Seervi community that is illuminating not only its own temple of education but is also paving the way for economically weaker, talented students to receive education and advance to higher studies.

Located in the Aravalli mountains, in the Rani tehsil of Pali district, is the Shri IG Teaching Institute’s Shri IG Moti Baba English School, a vision dreamt by the ancestors of the Seervi community.

Today, it’s being realized by the benefactors of their community. Initially, there was a hostel in Rani on the Mokampura Road for the Seervi community students. The community members first thought of building a school so that children from 65 to 70 nearby villages could be prepared for education. A meeting was called with all nearby villages, attended by thousands, and amidst the respected and benefactor members of the community, the idea of building a school was proposed.

All members of the community unanimously agreed to establish a school, chanting praises for the Mother Goddess. Subsequently, the blueprint for the school’s construction was laid out. In 2010, the Shri IG Education Institute was established in Rani, with unanimous consent to appoint Shri Magaram Choudhary as the chairman. He provided strength to the institute as a lifelong member. Thereafter, efforts began to construct the building, with multiple community meetings and collaborations.

In 2013, a meeting was held with influential community members, and the responsibility for the institute was handed to Meghraj Kesa Gahlot of Khimel. He committed that the entire construction would be funded by the Gahlot family, but also sought community support. The community decided that everyone would contribute, as it was a community institution. Many community members actively supported the cause, contributing both resources and efforts.

In December 2013, a foundation stone was laid, and construction began. The school earned recognition from the state government in 2017 and was named Shri IG Moti Baba School. The community decided that the school would begin in the Seervi community’s Vadera, which is right in front of the new building. There were initial challenges with student enrollment, as private schools were dominant in the surrounding areas. However, the institution’s head, Meghraj Gahlot, and manager, Bharat Choudhary, worked diligently, initially enrolling 11 economically disadvantaged students whose families couldn’t afford their education.

This set a precedent for other students to pursue quality education and compete with students from other schools. An educational committee was also formed by the institution, consisting of respected intellectuals from the community to oversee the regular functioning of the school.
